Warning...this is a post chock full of sucky pictures! ha! I feel like I should just throw that out there since I am pursuing photography these days. These were totally a bust, and I know it, but I still documented the holiday & that's what matters!
Despite the lack of personal of documenting our personal lives lately and spending MANY MANY hours at the computer, we did celebrate Easter! I actually bought more than a dozen eggs to dye this year, and I was totally not a perfectionist about them! I just let the kids do them & it was a lot more enjoyable for anal old me!
As always, mammy helped them..they'd rather have her than me anyway!
Grant took the whole thing very seriously.
This was technically the day before Easter, but just this is what I get when I tell my kiddos I want to take their picture together...
Easter morning, the baskets were in kid-sized suitcases to prepare them for an upcoming vacay we've got planned!
We hid the little marshmallow eggs all over the house & they had a blast finding them. I don't think we've eaten any of them though.
We had breakfast at church Easter Sunday and had to be there at 8 am...We live really close by, but we are NEVER on time, so to be there at 8 is a feat! So we tried to take pics after breakfast but before church started & it was really really bright outside! Pair that with uncooperative kids, and you get these...
My brother came to town to go to church and I made him try to take a family pic of us....These TOTALLy crack me up. The funniest part is that he didn't realize he was holding the shutter button down & my camera takes several frames per second. I ended up with about 30 pics of us all with different faces. I was dying laughing when I uploaded them!
And let's just talk about my hair here...I do nothing to my hair..I leave with it wet every morning & by the time I get to work it's dry & I brush it before going inside, and all is good. On Sundays, since we do breakfast & all at home, it's typically dry before church. However, on Easter, since we just got dressed & left, it was still wet & unbrushed after drying...hence all that crazy stuff going on... YIKES!
Just look at Pook's face & Claire appears to be in pain...
Grant is such a cheeseball & it is so frustrating!
Egg Hunting after church at Nana & Papa's
The kids LOVE riding in this trailer behind Papa's mower. They would stay in there for hours while he rides in circles!
And just to end this on a good note...the following Sunday they actually both smiled for a few pics before church :-)! Grant is a man of many faces...
